How The Colorado River Got It’s Name

July 25th was the day in 1921 when federal legislation was passed, thus officially re-naming the river from the “Grand” to the “Colorado.”

Fiscal conservatives and conservationists are commemorating this day, calling on the government to prioritize strategies that focus on improving the efficiency with which we consume the Colorado River’s water.
